Mornington Peninsula 4 days 3 nights
Day 1

Moonah Links, Open Course

Step into the shoes of the pros for a day and test your drive on the only course designed for the Australian Open.”The Open Course at Moonah Links is the first ever 18 holes built and prepared for a national championship. With exceptional viewing platforms for spectators. It is one of the longest courses in Australia, and probably in the world in this category. It measures 6783 metres, so it offers more than a casual stroll in the outdoors. It is a mighty and ferocious test of golfing ability, the likes of which even the top pros only occasionally experience. In terms of difficulty, I estimate a club-handicapped player would merit an extra eight strokes assistance to return a net par score, yet the course has great flexibility. It can be played at many different lengths depending on tees selected.

Day 2

St Andrews Beach

St Andrews Beach Golf Course needs little introduction for golfers in Australia and it rests firmly within the top 5 public golf courses in the country. Architecturally sublime and visually stunning from any vantage point, the Tom Doak layout endears everyone that walks out onto the huge elevated first tee. Come and see for yourself why St Andrews Beach is ‘simply a great golf course.’

Day 3

The Dunes

Located in the heart of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula “Cups”region and set on 300 acres of gently rolling sand dunes, the 27 hole golf facility is one of Australia’s premier access golf courses. A championship links golf course, consistently ranked in the Top 25 in Australia, that is open to the public and a joy to play for golfers of all standards. Designed by local architect Tony Cashmore, the 27-hole facility is owned by Duncan Andrews, the developer of the Cape Wickham Links

Day 4

Moonah Links, Legends

The younger sibling to the Open Course, the Legends Course was opened for play in 2003 after the Australian Open and was greeted with rave reviews. The work of Ross Perrett, the Legends Course has consistently ranked highly in all course reviews and whilst slightly easier than the Open Course, is certainly no pushover. The Legends is shorter, being “only” 6,315 metres off the black tees. It is blessed with the better piece of land, has more natural trees and bushes through which the holes wander and certainly bunkers that would not look out of place in the sandbelt itself. Perrett has added to the fun by naming each hole after a famous golfer; most are great Australians, though Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus are in there too as international giants who have triumphed in Australia.
